Though the operating system is similar in case of BSNL Penta TPad IS701R and Aaksh 2, the Aakash 1 comes with a different operating system. The BSNL tablet as well as Aakash 2 is powered by Android 2.3 Ginger bread but when it comes to Aaksh 1 the operating system is Android 2.2 Froyo.

Screen Resolution

The Penta TPad IS701R is equipped with a screen resolution of 800 by 600 pixels. But if we look at the Aakash releases, both the first and second models display a screen resolution of 800 by 480 pixels.

Network

Both the BSNL tablet and the Aakash 1 are the Wi-Fi only devices while the Aakash 2 supports Wi-Fi and GPRS through SIM card.

Phone call

Both the BSNL tablet and Aakash 1 do not support for phone call which is possible through Aakash 2 only.

HDMI

The BSNL tablet is equipped with a HDMI support which is absent in both of the Aakash tablets.

USB ports

Both the BSNL device and Aakash 1 has a single USB port but the Aakash 2 comes with 2 of them.

Price

The BSNL tablet costs Rs.3,200 while the Aakash 1 and Aakash 2 come at Rs. 2,499 and Rs. 2, 999 respectively.

Similarities

All the 3 tablets have a screen size of 7 inches, 0.3 VGA camera and 256 MB RAM and 32 GB memory storage.
